)The Patient Care Technician is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
This position requires cross-training to unit clerk role.
Duties include:
Observes and reports to the RN for all significant changes in patient's condition Assists patients with activities of daily living (e.
g.
preparing patient for and assisting with meals, bathing)Takes and records vital signs, height and weights, measures and records fluid intake and output, collects specimensAssist with transport of patients within the hospital One-on-one observation with required documentation.
Close observation monitoringDemonstrates proficient computer skills Ability to follow through with physician orders Utilizes internal paging system and patient call systemOther duties as assigned Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent.
American Heart Association, (AHA) CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
Previous Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
