Responsibilities include communicating with patients, working collaboratively with internal and external departments to ensure quality health care and a high level of customer service and perform a variety of administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities Ability to utilize a complete telephone system:
receive incoming telephone calls, make satisfactory disposition of calls or transferring to appropriate party as needed and retrieve voice messages.
Answer phones in a prompt courteous manner provide assistance whenever needed.
Greet patients on arrival to department, assures patient comfort, and informs patient of any test delays.
Call patients to schedule tests.
Works closely with other medical centers and internal departments to ensure continuity of care through testing and reporting of results.
Ability to navigate through an HIS system for scheduling (prefer Meditech experience), retrieving test results, printing orders and developing daily schedules.
Ability to communicate to supervisor and/or Physicians problems associated with scheduling, orders or patients.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to comply with Joint Commission standards and regulatory readiness.
Education and Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
