The ideal candidate should have experience with accounts receivable and collections, motor vehicle claims, insurance billing and posting, and be skilled at patient and insurance interaction and claims resolution.
Qualifications 1-2 years health care accounts receivable, billing and payment posting experience Knowledge in reading explanation of benefits (EOB) and CPT codes Knowledge of electronic payment remittances (EDI) process Knowledge of standard PC and standard PC operating system such as Microsoft office , Google Drive Basic coding knowledge, medical terminology , reimbursement analysis experience with appeals process, credit balance, and billing regulations Excellent problem-solving skills Responsibilities Responsible for performing accurate and timely payment posting functions and utilizing Practice Manager.
Process and accept EDI electronic remittance files, as well as submit electronic claims Responsible for working and resolving any errors in remittance runs to successfully post payments.
Manually post insurance payments, and credit card payments as needed Handle patient phone calls, regarding questions, pertaining to their bills and insurance participation Post recoupments and rejections; close and process payment/rejection batches Verify information on motor vehicle claims for accurate processing Enter medical billing charges Work on special projects as assigned Full-time position in Cape May Court House Office.
This is an in-house position, with some possible remote work after training.
